Recently rescued greyhounds sometimes come to REGAP with medical conditions, and we treat all conditions that present themselves while the dogs are in our foster home network. This can include teeth extractions, cyst removals, treatment for internal parasites like hook worm and whip worm, and repair of broken legs. Please note: Our policy is "no surprises," so we inform our adopters of any existing medical conditions, and some of our greyhounds are listed as "Special Needs" dogs. However, some ailments don't present themselves immediately. Michigan REGAP is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and we raise funds to treat ailments only while dogs are in our care. Once a greyhound is adopted, the owner assumes all future medical costs for any diagnoses made after the date of adoption.
